So our strong willed Alicia is taking swimming lessons. It is abit... well a lot of a struggle to get her into the pool . I wouldn't be surprised if you could hear her screaming in MN. This is her third week going to lessons. The first one she screamed at her teacher the whole time "I dont like swimming i dont like swimming" The second a little better not as much screaming and she was at least in the water for the last 10 mins of the lesson. Then today well i had to drag her out of the car and only had to chase her out the front door of the aquatic centre 3 times and just had to have tough love and practically throw her into the pool with her teacher.
Once we got her in the pool... apart from all the times she got out of the pool and said "I want to go to the toilet or i want to give Eliza a kiss or i want a huggle or lets just go and pick up tyler now and go home or i'm cold" and whatever other excuse she could think of .
When she stayed in the water as she was on the noodle kicking her legs she actually said "This is Fun". I was so proud of her and i think she was pretty proud of herself too, as all the teachers were clapping for her with encouragement.
So hopefully this was out last week of crying and carrying on about getting in the pool. So she can be swimming by Christmas time. I think we are going to start Tyler in lessons too in a few months......not yet, i cant chase 2 kids out the front door and throw them in the pool (while holding Eliza).

Lecy, Tepa loves to swim. I think it would be great if you learned to swim, so that when I come see you in Feb. we can go swimming together. Work hard and we will have fun.
