christmas baking day

It was fun baking with the kids this year, Tyler is still a little young to be doing the pretzels maybe. He would put one on the baking sheet and then put the fork in his mouth and we said tyler you cant do that, Then he said "Im just tasting it". So tylers pretzels ended up going in a seperate bowl for the kids ..not to give away.
It was a good day as we listened to christmas music and made goodies. We just had to skip the song "I'll be home for chistmas" .It makes us sad , especially this time of year we miss being with all the family in MN and now the innises too....Even alicia said the other day i wish that all our family could be next to nema and tepa and my cousins and that havanna could come too. So as beautiful as that christmas song is we have to keep skipping it in our house and in the car this christmas. Oh but that freezing cold weather in MN right now ....hmmm maybe we should reverse alicias thoughts and you should all come here to sunny sydney.

It's beginning to look alot like christmas

I love christmas with littlle kids. Every night I ask alicia what number are we up too, how long til santa comes on her countdown to christmas bed spread. Now that we are on the 10th she is getting more excited. Tyler doesnt really get it, he just likes that a pic of santa is on his bed. Eliza well she just loves everything that falls off the christmas tree , we have had to pull out tinsel, bells and hooks out of her mouth. All this with the christmas tree on top of the coffee table so she cant get to it.
It's all alot of fun.
It looks like Eliza just wants to get away from her crazy brother and sister back in the safety of her own room.

Alicias TOOTHLESS

Alicia lost her first tooth on monday while she was jumping up and down having a tantrum. So if any of your kids have a loose tooth that just won't come out ...make them have a tantrum..apparently it works. Only we kind of lost the tooth for a while ...but then dad found it.
We can't believe our little alicia lost her first tooth already. She was so excited to use the tooth pillow aunt sarah made for her and then she took it to preschool the next day for news.

Lecy is third in from the right that was her favourite part shakin her booty.., Time walk Boogie, you can spot alicia she is the tall one that didnt pull her tutu down, she didnt seem to worry she had so much fun out there.

Our new home

Our new home. There are still some boxes inside so you will just have to wait to see those pictures but our favourite pictures are of the back yard. Just beyond that red fence is the Golf Club. Yes, there is a golf course in our back yard. Hole number 2 to be exact. We are enjoying our new home very much. More pictures to come later.

When Eliza is not happy she doesnt cry all that much she will just do this pouty face, it makes us laugh.

My first and last barbie birthday cake

What a disaster alicias birthday cake was , It took 2 cakes (first one only half made it out of the pan) 4 packet mixes and well alot of my sanity oh and AlOT of icing (big patch up job at the back). Barbie is being held up by popsicle sticks and there is a hole in the back of the cake and she kept falling out....or sinking down the middle.
I was icing the cake and it was so hot the icing spots were melting and i said to alicia "This is the hardest cake i have ever made" and Alicia said back to me "But it's the most beautiful cake i have ever seen". So she was happy in the end and thats what matters right....who cares about the imperfections i see as an adult.Oh there it is sideview of the back of the cake lobsided and a sinking barbie packed with sooooo much icing.

Alicia had told me that she wanted streamers and balloons on her brithday just like we did for daddys birthday....after she woke up a little she was loving all the streamers and happy birthday signs we had up in the house for her.She did not stop playing with her new play makeup all morning.
We had a nice day at the park and alicia had her best friend Havanna over for the night. When she was at the park she said "This is the best day i have ever had".

No party this year but alicia didnt seem to mind she had a great day and on sunday we will have a family birthday dinner where she wants her Barbie Island princess cake........I'm abit neervous about making that one.

Alicia called anne marie "The wedding girl" and was mesmorised with her dress and kept touching the beading on it. Tyler called her "bootiful girl".Tyler what trouble he got up to at the reception, pouring salt all over his bread roll,Spilling his whole glass of ice cold apple juice on him, hiding in the curtains behind the bridal table and constantly running away to the restaurant next door....I really wish i did not wear high heels that day chasing him all night.
