Fun easter saturday with the kids

Tyler and Alicia making choc crackle nests.....theres no pic of the finished product because me and hans ate them all to quick...but they did have little easter eggs in the middle of them.

conference on easter

Today we had General conference (a week late) at our chapel and oh how were we missing being able to watch it in the comfort of boyd and stephs family room (on the sheepskin rug). Today is also easter sunday and i dont know why we thought we could let the kids eat there chocolate from the easter bunny before church.....big mistake.
So we get to church the kids all looked cute and innocent in there easter clothes and then we sit down and conference begins and it was like someone put batteries in the kids and switched it to the "ON" button . Tyler thought it was time to run laps around the cultural hall and carpark, Alicia thought she would talk really loud and look under and all around our seats and those in front about her missing markers and then miss eliza just kept screaming EEEEEEEEEEEEE and crying every time hans went out chasing tyler.

About 15 mins into conference hans looks over to me and says
"CAN WE GO HOME NOW"....we both just laughed and somehow found the humor in our situation and crazy kids and after chasing tyler twice around the chapel and taking eliza out twice ..finally we did go home , we lasted about an hour and 20 mins and i can honestly say i did not hear one talk i didnt even really hear the opening prayer.
Oh the joys, i do love my kids and am glad they had a good easter, here are some pictures i took after we left it just shows the effect of kids and chocolate and us thinking they would sit through 2 hours of conference.
Happy easter everyone we love you.

Elizas funny faces ..what she thought of sitting through conference.

Our next door neighbour had her hair all braided , and alicia said she would love if i did that to her hair. So here is our attempt, i think it turned out pretty cute and it was fun talking and laughing with alicia while i was braiding her hair for all that time.
Then we said lets do it to Elizas hair...but it is a little too short, so we just did pig tails instead ..which eliza pulled out as soon as they were done almost.
It was a fun time playing hairdressers with my girls.

Tylers puddle

We have had alot of rain the past few days, and tyler is just loving it. He has even named the puddle out the front "tylers puddle" and first chance he gets every morning he is out there running up to his paddle with a huge splash. Getting all dirty...just like any little boy should right.

RunSplashoh its so funny

Tyler has the cutest little laugh I love when he puts his hands up to his face like this and laughs at the simplest things...like getting dirty in Tylers puddle

Tyler and his girlfriend Ruby

Tyler had his friend Ruby over to play last week. Now he always says Ruby is his girlfriend. Ruby is such a sweet little girl , but they were pretty mischievious together. They hold hands sometimes when they are at church and after school when they pick up there big sisters. They are really cute to watch.

Look at those cheeky faces...Busted ...after i told them not to go in the dirt.

I gave in they were having so much fun...who needs toys when there is dirt down the side of the house huh

The Love of Ice cream

Who else would get this excited and messy about an Ice-cream ...but our chubby beautiful Eliza.

Alicias New Look

Alicias wore her new glasses today and just loves them. She wore them to school and one of her friends said" I like your glasses can you get me some"and her other friends treated her like a celebrity ,all of them asking questions and looking at her "do they really help you see better" i guess she is the only one in her class that wears glasses.. Alicias teacher gave me a good report home and said she really changed today by helping, listening and cooperating in class, She even told her teacher that because she wore glasses now she would be a good girl in class.
Alicia you are really cute in your glasses and im glad you can see the world a little clearer now.

Eliza wants to be just like her big sister and wear glasses too.
