Alicias First Day at Big School

So it is here Alicias first day of school. I had so many plans for this day and what happens...Eliza throws up since 5 in the morning and we are late not too bad 8.50 instead of 8.45. Hans couldnt stay home and had to leave before 8. Tyler walks out with no shoes and his shorts on backwards. Eliza looks white as a ghost and alicia is so excited she would of driven herself if she could have.

She looked really cute , hans loves how cute she looks in her uniform. Alicia was very anxious to get in her classroom, almost forgot to kiss me goodbye then came back to kiss Tyler goodbye (that is when i could of cried ....but i didnt). Oh I'm not sad but realize this is it, this is the beginning of many many school years.


When i picked her up from school at 2.45 i don't think i have ever seen her look so tired and flushed from the heat. She said she had a good day , made some new friends both of there names were madison, got in trouble only a little bit but put her hand up when she wanted to talk.
Tyler was really cute (before he also started being sick all day) everything he ate or drank he would save some or half and say "This is Alicia when she came home". Alicia is really excited for her Nema and Tepa to pick her up from school next week.

Australia Day

So we planned to do it all today Wake up at 5.30 and see the hot air balloons, then go to beach with aunty ange and adam. Well we woke up at 8.30 it was kind of overcast and not a beach day , so we said we should go to the stake australia day breakfast at the park....well by the time we got all 3 kids and ourselves ready...we kind of missed that too. So instead we went to the movies and saw Bedtime stories (great movie) and got australian flag tattoos(that was the kids highlight of austrlalia day). We had fun together but next year we will "DO IT ALL".

Beach Day

We had such a fun day at the beach today, building sandcastles, playing in the rock pool, It was elizas first real beach day at first she didnt like the feel of the sand, but then was happy to sit and play and loved being in the water.
We cant wait to take nema and tepa there with us...alicia and tyler are starting to count down the days on the calendar til you come see us.

Tyler was having so much fun going back and forth getting water for the sand castle even if sometimes he got a little lost and kept going back to the wrong family and there sandcastle.

Mini Golf

Eliza was not too happy she had to stay in the stroller and not playDad tried to show the kids how to playLecy showed tyler the way to cheat either by just picking the ball up and putting it in the hole or starting the first hit right next to hole.It was just too hot about 35 degrees celcius 95F

On the way home Alicia said " Dad do you know why i was so good at playing golf today
Because you teached me"

Tyler just couldnt get the ball in even when he started this close but he kept on trying.
Lecy was a shy achiever.

christmas baking day

It was fun baking with the kids this year, Tyler is still a little young to be doing the pretzels maybe. He would put one on the baking sheet and then put the fork in his mouth and we said tyler you cant do that, Then he said "Im just tasting it". So tylers pretzels ended up going in a seperate bowl for the kids ..not to give away.
It was a good day as we listened to christmas music and made goodies. We just had to skip the song "I'll be home for chistmas" .It makes us sad , especially this time of year we miss being with all the family in MN and now the innises too....Even alicia said the other day i wish that all our family could be next to nema and tepa and my cousins and that havanna could come too. So as beautiful as that christmas song is we have to keep skipping it in our house and in the car this christmas. Oh but that freezing cold weather in MN right now ....hmmm maybe we should reverse alicias thoughts and you should all come here to sunny sydney.

It's beginning to look alot like christmas

I love christmas with littlle kids. Every night I ask alicia what number are we up too, how long til santa comes on her countdown to christmas bed spread. Now that we are on the 10th she is getting more excited. Tyler doesnt really get it, he just likes that a pic of santa is on his bed. Eliza well she just loves everything that falls off the christmas tree , we have had to pull out tinsel, bells and hooks out of her mouth. All this with the christmas tree on top of the coffee table so she cant get to it.
It's all alot of fun.
It looks like Eliza just wants to get away from her crazy brother and sister back in the safety of her own room.

Alicias TOOTHLESS

Alicia lost her first tooth on monday while she was jumping up and down having a tantrum. So if any of your kids have a loose tooth that just won't come out ...make them have a tantrum..apparently it works. Only we kind of lost the tooth for a while ...but then dad found it.
We can't believe our little alicia lost her first tooth already. She was so excited to use the tooth pillow aunt sarah made for her and then she took it to preschool the next day for news.
